Program Information
Our Vision:
To help any youth, age 14-21, prepare for a productive and meaningful adulthood.
Program Priorities
- Developing socially acceptable attitudes and values leading to good choices
- Encouraging and assisting youth to obtain a high school diploma or GED, and continue life long learning
- Exploring careers and training opportunities
- Finding and keeping the right job
High School Diploma/GED
In partnership with Carroll Community College
- Assistance with meeting high school graduation requirements
- Preparation for the General Educational Development test (GED)
Support Services
(Some subject to funding availability)
- Staff support and guidance
- Individual tutoring
- Assistance with costs incurred in passing the GED test
- Short-term transportation and child care assistance
- Driver education assistance
- Assistance with work attire, tools and job related safety requirements
- Short-term counseling services
- Follow-up services after employment/graduation to help in achieving personal goals

- Information on how to search and apply for jobs and developing leads by networking with local businesses
- BERC Summer Job Fair- A job fair targeting summer employment in Carroll County
